Everyone experience itchy scalp with irritating white flakes at least once or many times in their lifetime. This results from either excessive drying or too much oil in the scalp that often occurs when then scalp sheds its dead skin. Dandruff definitely is not a result of poor personal hygiene or the use of dirty comb.
The causes and contributing factors of dandruff include fatigue, stress, acne, hormonal imbalances, constant exposure to dry air, use of lotions that contain alcohol, and neurological conditions such as stroke, head injuries, and Parkinson’s disease.
If you have dandruff, don’t use dandruff shampoos. Most dandruff shampoos have strong medications to control the symptoms of dandruff. Dandruff shampoos often contain aggressive cleansers that destroy the scalp’s delicate balance of water and oil that can further irritate the glands and most likely will perpetuate the problem.
Try this remedy for a change:
Part hair in sections. Sponge directly on scalp 3 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar. Wrap head with towel. Do this before you shampoo.
Apple cider vinegar helps restore proper acid / alkaline balance to scalp
